Actually, I thought you were complaining about discrimination against heterosexual men in the flight attendant industry. Where did I get* that* idea? Some of the reactions you are getting flow from the assumptions underlying your question. It came off as anti-gay, even if you didn’t mean it that way. If you posed a more reasonable question about cultural and/or historical reasons leading to more gay men seeking careers as flight attendants, you might have provoked a more interesting discussion.

Nothing at all, and in many companies it isn’t even necessarily “their” team; some teams are pretty much fixed, others rotate constantly.
I’m not in the air industry, but most of my direct managers weren’t involved either in recruiting me, or in picking me for their teams. While my own teams are of the fixed variety, now that I’m in consulting it’s common for the boss to be the last person recruited; in other jobs, often the team was already in place and at some point (restructuring or promotion of the old boss) we got a new boss - none of which tried to get the team shuffled to their tastes.

Thats fair enough with regard to name calling, but if you actually read through, you will see that the person I had called a “COCK” actually threw the insult first, I see no warning for them and after all you did say no insults. Why is that?

I dont understand how they are racist, but like I said, for another thread elsewhere. Im a black englishman myself, but I understand history.
