That situation you describe is more likely to mean the guy is gay. Straight women aren’t usually going to throw themselves on a guy that already is carrying a harem (unless he’s a high-status guy like a rock star).
The scenario you describe is more likely the case that the women’s gaydar has already identified the guy as a hunky gay and are flocking to him for safe flirtation. He’s not repelling them because being gay isn’t the same as cootiephobia ( ). Many gay guys dig physical flirtation with women. And drunk girls start to forget they’re barking up the wrong tree and thus take themselves out of the evening’s hook-up pool to the chagrin of the straight guys there.
