SDMB seems fast today?
Due to move to new provider?
I thought so too.
So far as I’ve been told only the main site has been transferred. I suppose there might be some gain from taking the limited strain of the main site off the server but I doubt it.
But I could be wrong.
Hard to tell with my old computer and really basic service but it does seem to be opening windows quite a bit faster.
It does seem very nimble! 
Wicked slow for me today. Even timed out a couple of times while trying to load ATMB.

ive had problems actually with it timing out and bad gateways and just not loading …i came here to see what was wrong …
Mine is slow when loading a forum but mostly okay when loading a thread. And I mean reeeeeaallly slow; like 30 seconds or more to load a forum page or the main page. I’ve gotten both 502 and 504 errors multiple times starting yesterday.

This has been my experience. Very slow. 504 errors. Failure to load the page, it just presents a blank screen.
Q: How do you make the SDMB fast?
A:Take away its food.

The performance of the board over the last two days reminds me of the way it used to always be during the year(?) before the server upgrade (or whatever the fix was).
