Would someone who could stand more than 10 minutes of this glurge please summarize what happened during this episode? It’s the one with the African American mom who had two jobs and didn’t trust her kids vs. the… apparently utterly insane medieval family*. I made it to the first commerical break and had to change it (oddly enough to The 13th Warrior. :smiley: )

I’m also (in certain cases) supportive of the decision to homeschool. I only paid attention to one part of it - the 13 year old from the medieval family didn’t know how to use a phone. Literally.

Well, that’s because his friends are the dogs, and dogs can’t use phones. They keep mashing the wrong buttons with their little paws.

I watched the last half, and as soon as I saw a family so wrapped up in SCA I thought to myself these kids must be homeschooled, I was right! I thought the black father had a point when all he saw being homeschooled was making more SCA crap, that does not make well round kids ready to be productive members of society. I know quite a few kids who are home schooled and much better adjusted to the “outside” real world.
