I’m glad to see that you guys are at least surprised. I didn’t see the show, but from reading the thread I see that her behavior is exactly like 99% of the Christians I grew up around, who were, in turn, 99.99% of the people I grew up around.
Your surprise comforts me by showing me that they aren’t ALL like that.
Well, even in this one episode, there was one fundie loonie (mom), and four reasonable Christians (Dad and the kids) who got along with the lesbian just fine.
But I know what you mean. My primary contact with Christian fundamentalists has been when they tell me how much they hate me for being who I am.
Maybe it’s just a case of the nice, reasonable ones being content to let us lead our lives, so we have no contact with them.
That woman was pure evil. I would be concerned aboutw children having contact with such horrid, hatred spewing witch. Far more likely kids will “catch the evil”.
And I was okay with the dad until the final sit down. Spineless wimp couldn’t manage to offer a word of support to this woman who he had previously said brought positive things to their household?
