This happens once or twice a day. All devices connected to Wi-Fi will lose the connection at the same time and reconnect 30 seconds to a minute later.
When this happens the cable modem still shows online, and the indicator light on the router does not change from Blue(good) to Orange(no connectivity).
Its not a very large house and the signal strength is strong all over the house. I’ve tried switching televisions/computers over to 5GHZ and using 2.4Ghz for phones and tablets. I’ve tried putting everything on 2.4. Ive tried everything on 5. Ive tried using different wireless channels. I’ve tried releasing and renewing DHCP in case there was a conflict somewhere. I’ve updated the firmware on the router. It still drops every device at the exact same time.
See if you can borrow a replacement wifi base station from somebody. I bet it’s got an internal glitch. Even if it isn’t overtly rebooting, it consists of a computer and a radio. If the radio is glitchy the computer will show you a happy blue light even though the radio is dead for a few seconds.
As to airports I was trying to catalog sources of intermittent RFI. You might try watching to If it goes offline when a jet roars over or a police car drives by or something like that.
