We know of two Wii users who got that blue light last night in the slot where the disk goes, We were just curious if the two were coincidence or if the appearance of the blue light was widespread?
It usually means that there is a software update to download. Mine had the blue light this morning.

FWIW, it appears to have been a notice that by joining club nintendo, you can be entitled to free downloads (from the virtual console?) to your wii.
