I’m looking for a back scratch. My Wife finds my occasional request for such thoroughly disagreeable, and I’m fed up with her reluctance.
Would it be unreasonable to request a masseuse to scratch my back for monetary compensation?

A licensed massage therapist is going to want to stick to massage* therapy* (I would think). However, you could ask.
Additionally, I good deep tissue massage on your back might “scratch your itch” without scratching your itch.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing sexual involved here. Like a massage, I would find a good scratch pleasurable and perhaps therapeutic. However I find the two not the same kind of sensation.
Buy a good back scratcher for a buck or two at Bed Bath and Beyond or something. I have one and it works great. My Wife bought it for us.
I don’t think you understand. A two dollar backscratcher would work about as well for my desire, as would a rub on a post be for one who needs a deep tissue massage…
If your two dollar back scratcher works for “us” (for you) so be it.
Snide answers, in an attempt at being clever, is not what I had expected here on SDMB… Oh well, forget it.
As you wish.
This should have been in IMHO, but since you are no longer interested in the question I’ll close it.
