Will Democrats sweep the House and Senate as well?

I’m sure she “knew” that in 2008, too, so what’s the big deal?

Senate? Probably. House? No.

Yeah, because the numbers then are the same as now.

Or maybe she never held a lead over Obama, and with each election it was confirmed she’d never close the (narrower) deficit? Hillary herself knew she couldn’t win in pledged delegates by this stage–her game plan was to have the supers move to back her (which is also a plan Sanders has, albeit he’s luke warm on really advocating for it, most likely because he knows after seeing Hillary’s quixotic attempt in 2008 that it just ain’t gonna happen.)

This isn’t that complicated.

“Everything is good no worries.” Doesn’t raise money. “The sky is falling” does. There is simply no evidence you win elections by raising more money, the candidate with more money frequently loses. What there is evidence is of is campaigns are expensive, and you need a base level of money to be competitive, but you don’t need to outspend your opponent 2:1 to win.

You’re right - it’s not. Having already experienced a campaign that looked like a lock but slipped away, I’m entirely unsurprised that Hillary Clinton and her handlers won’t rest easy (well, easy-ish) until the nomination is well secured.
