Will Jesus forgive everyone?

What if the Muslims are right and we, as in everyone else, are all going to hell? Now that would be funny!!!

I guess I’ll see ya’ there.

I believe that Jesus is actually interested in a relationship. This is what follows commiting yourself to him.
Kind of like marrage, you commit and then spend the rest of your life getting to know the other person. Its the life, not the one time event that really matters.

I’m betting no one will respond to Inertia’s post.

So what else is new?

Stop telling God what to do.

Not all the Muslims think we are all going to Hell.

Not all the Christians think that the judgements of Christians on the earth are the word of the Lord.

When it says He will judge you, it means that priests, preachers, ministers, saints, sinners, ranters and ravers are not judges of your spirit. I am fairly sure that includes BBS posters, as well.

Anyone who claims to know the state of your soul is speaking in direct disobedience of the record of the words of Jesus. He will let them know how he feels about that.

Love is always part of the answer. Judgement is not ours to give. We are bidden to love each other, and we already know we are sinners. If someone tells you that you are more sinful, or more damned than they are, remember, in the end the Last shall be First. You will be the prodigal returned. They get to cook fatted calf for you.

I believe He shall save every soul that will be saved. How it will be done is beyond me, but then, I am not your redeemer.

Royalbill, you say that a relationship with Jesus is like a marriage, where you get to know the other person over time. What exactly is getting to know Jesus? I’m not sure what you mean.

Oh yeah???

Prove it… Scripturally please…

/* just kidding… what in the world am I up for at 5:27… no 28 in the morning??? */

durn… I coulda used ‘slash slash’ instead of ‘slash splat’

Jesus is not some unknowable God off somewhere in deepspace.
He is a very real personable God who wants to have a daily relationship with each of us.
He wants to talk to us and hear from us moment by moment. He does not just want us to ‘phone’ him from church once or twice a week, but meet with us daily.

The Lord will forgive all sins if one accepts Jesus as his/her personal Savior. You can be a serial killer, who with his whole heart repents and accepts the salvation of the Lord, thus, God would know his heart and would “save him”. Becoming born-again saves us all…we all sin everyday, even when we try not too, our nature is a sinful one. But Jesus loved us that much, and he died for us, so that we may have eternal life. Will those who deny Jesus be “saved”??? The Bible states clearly “No”…now whatever criteria or words we may think makes us born-again, well, I don’t believe it takes a specific prayer or phrase. But the Lord knows our hearts…and he will judge our true beliefs.

Follow up question (I beleive that I already know the answer)

Will those claiming to know Jesus, yet continue, knowingly in sin, be saved?

Once someone becomes a born-again Christian, I believe it is impossible for one to ever become unsaved. However, when one makes the commitment to the Lord, stating that we accept the Salvation of Jesus…like I said, god knows our heart, and if we are genuine, then we will never lose it. For example, when I get mad, and want to snap at my spouse, yeah well sometimes I do, KNOWING it is not right. However, I do ask forgiveness, and because of the Lord, I have a conscience, and know I did wrong ;). Thus, I know I will be saved regaurdless…because of my initial commitment of belief.

I was thinking more along the lines of a lifestyle of something the Bible specfically identifies as sin…
Not just the day to day idiotic things we all do and then repent for…

One God, one religion, or burn in hell. The reason you can’t beleive in “your” god(or lack there of), live a “good” life, and still get into heaven is that “their” church would then have less control over your mind and money. Nuff said.

Banks >Would you send your “children” to hell?

I believe that God did not want the choice of who made it to heaven and who did not…
That is why he set up the rules in the beginning, and yes he has revised them from time to time…and then left it up to us to choose which WE wanted…

To respond…hopefully for what you are looking for: Let’s say one who lives a gay lifestyle (a sin according to the Bible), thus, day after day commits his “acts” of being gay. Well, if he’s accepted Jesus as his Savior, well then, I still believe that he will go to heaven. The one and only requirement for heaven is to accept the salvation of Jesus Christ…we will sin always, that’s why we needed Jesus.
Hope I answered the subject you were looking for…if not…sorry.

You got the ‘item’ I was thinking of…but, isn’t, part of Repentance turning away from Sin? If you continue in a lifestyle that is “sinful” are you truly repentant? ( And I would include other activities as well as Homosexuallity(drug use, sexual immorality, child abuse, etc))
Now, I also reallize that it may take some time, but the ‘item’ must soon be relenquished I believe.

RoyalBill…I have to say, I don’t know. I think you’ve got me, and I don’t know how to answer. Do you have a specific belief on it? i think in regards to my example above…I don’t think gay people believe they are sinning. Now, does that make a difference to God…well, no, sin is sin. Yet, can we sin everyday and be commited to our belief in Jesus…YES. We are not worthy, sis is sin, and no sin is greater than any other…so if I commit the same sin every day, or different ones every day, does that make a difference to God?? I don’t know. But I know we can not lose our salvation, so if I murder day after day, and decide I mad a God…will I still be saved, well I think yes. Once we are saved, Satan paints a big bull’s eye on our back, and targets us for as much hardship as he can at us. Some of us will fall, but I believe Jesus will still take us by his side…because, and only because we believed in him.

Jesus said…
John 14:1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.”
John 14:11 “Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.”

Okay, good point.
My belief is something along the lines of…
Once you accept Jesus into your life, you repent of all the ‘sins’ you have been previous involved in. Some of those may be strongholds in you life, but Jesus and the Holy Spirit will help you overcome those items. He will weane you off of them, but if you choose to keep them…well, I think that if you refuse long enough, God will give you over to your own desires…and you will not see Heaven. Now, I think that Jesus tries real hard to help you stop these items, but we must pursue holiness.

Well, I can say that I hope you are wrong. I can’t say that I am 100% correct, only God can so…well, like I said, or should have said, I pray you are wrong. But, thankyou for sharing, by the way, what religion are you???

While I really dont care much for the term religion(I prefer to call it a lifestyle)
I am a Christian, a pentecostal if you are wondering the sub-type.

Dont take me wrong. I pray for all men (and women) to come to the Lord in a deep and personal relationship. I dont want any to perish either… but if they dont know the correct way, will they find it by accident?
