Actually, I was rather baffled when I discovered, on some very old threads, that the number of replies actually exceeds the number of views on occasion. My explanation for this is that if you come in and post, you’re recorded in the ‘Posts’ column; if you come in and don’t post, only then are you recorded in the ‘Views’ column. (Or maybe this is just another one of those ‘pre-conversion’ quirks)

Yeah, the views only started being counted on April 27th, 2000, when we got the new software. Yeah, I remember the date. Those were interesting times back then.
