Will the vernacular of Poker change forever from the Iraqi playing cards?

One of my favorite things about poker is calling out all the nicknames for the cards in a game of stud. I can just imagine saying " I got a pair of Husseins with an Aziz kicker." Or, everyone shouting “ZABUYADI!” when the Queen/Spades comes up in Follow the Queen.

MHO, no it won’t happen.

I agree with both of Boyo Jim’s opinions.

It might.

No way.

It’d be pretty funny, but I just don’t see it happening. The traditional playing cards have been around for hundreds of years, haven’t they?

IMHO, it seems unlikely that the hardcore who now know and use the current names of the cards would change based on what would seem a short-lived phenomenon. YMMV.

I will resist the urge to double post.

But computer solitaire has changed.

(And it’s free, too.)

Somehow, I don’t think it’ll stick…

Nah, it won’t make a difference. I admit it’d be pretty funny, though.
