I was just thinking about how cool it would be to have some straight dope clothing. I mean hell, if Bill O’Really can have a clothing line, then why not straight dope. I’ve already came up with some awesome ideas. Besides, as a marketing major, I think that would be an excellent way to get the word out and put some extra cash in Cecil and mods pocket! Besides, I’d wear it 
I feel soooooooo stupid. I never go to straight dope’s homepage, instead I always just go to the message boards. Well, I’ll be order a shirt soon and wearing it proudly here at SIUC!
No need to feel stupid, you’re not alone in never visiting the column page. The SDMB could probably make a few bucks with a “buy stuff” link at the top, or at least make money for the Chicago Reader.
Searching now I see the only close link is that very bottom of the page, linking to the SD homepage. Never scroll down that far, heh.
I’m not all that fond of the current T-shirt design. I’d rather see something with the banner logo – blue shirt, bold yellow “THE STRAIGHT DOPE,” with “Fighting Ignorance, yadda yadda yadda” below.
Any plans for a second design? (Think of all the Dopers who would love to have TWO SDMB shirts!

Since the question has been answered, I’ll hijak and say that I’d not wear a shirt bearing “straight dope” in polite company. Or where I thought I’d encounter police. Just sayin’.
I wouldn’t wear a T-shirt that was so cartoonish, but a nice conservative, smallish logo over the right chest would be nice, and if you could get it with your screename, that would rock.

I agree that the current shirts aren’t something I’d buy, much as I like the idea of owning a SD t-shirt. OTOH, some friends of mine own the coffee mug, and it is hella cool. Much nicer than the picture on the website conveys. I’d definitely like one, but I gotta save my dough for my subscription renewal right now.
That is one ugly shirt. Can we have prettier ones? If people were worried about wearing a shirt that said “Straight Dope” we could have one that was just SDMB in big yellow letters on blue background.

How about a nice golf shirt (polo)? I don’t get much of a chance to wear t-shirts.
While we’re listing stuff we’d pay cash money to the Chicago Reader for – I’d love an “SDMB” sticker for my car – one of those oval things ripping off the European country IDs.
I just wanted to join the chorus of folks who would buy a shirt, if it was a little nicer. Frankly, the currently available T-shirt is a bit too cartoonish for my taste. If you guys (SDMB staff) were to create a nice long sleeve T, with perhaps just a logo/motto on the left breast or something, you’d get my money for one or two.
I would also love to have a shirt, but I’m not real crazy about the design on the one shirt that we have for sale. Plus the smallest size they have is a medium and I’m a small person and medium sized t-shirts are usually too big on me.
I would buy one if they made them in repulsively enormous sizes so I could wear one.
I’ll mention it to management.
