Yes, although he’s frustrated his ego still has plenty to work on, he still has the power to manipulate huge numbers of people. He’s in the narcissistic rage phase. Suicide would lie down a long path of people just starting to ignore him, criminal prosecution especially for dull stuff like tax evasion, depression. It’s at least months away if it ever happens.
He can escape everything, but he may not be able to escape conviction by impeachment. If the Senate actually convicts him, boy oh boy, look out. That dude is gone.

Y’know, this deal about his ban health habits has kept being brought up for the last 5 years. To which my usually unspoken reaction is “now watch him live to 105”.
The recorded speech Trump gave a few days ago trying to make peace was completely unlike him. Not only was it way too responsible for him, it wasn’t his language at all, and it’s completely incompatible with who he is.
My guess? They told him they won’t impeach him or 25th amendment him or throw him in jail if he just gives the speech, shuts up, and fades away.
I hope they weren’t stupid/shitty enough to make that deal. He needs to be prosecuted.
They could make that deal and then reneg on it after January 20. Why not? It’s the Trump way.

Well, they are impeaching him Monday. I don’t think anything can stop that now. But they definitely have the 25th over him and he should behave or he will fall days short of a 4-year term.
Or not. I think Mike Pence or Mike Pompeo believed it took about a week to kick a President out with the 25th. However, I think they can slam it through in 1 day.
I’ve only read this second- or third-hand but apparently Eric Trump has promised to join the protesters on the 19th to “fight” for the cause. I’ll believe that when I see it.
