I have Xbox 360, but I like that racing game Forza 5 and Xbox one now comes in at $499 including the game Forza 5 (probably a download though instead of a disc)
I know it needs like a 500mb update as soon as you turn it on and that games are stored on cloud.
Here’s the problem I don’t have broadband all I have is a nearby Wi-Fi source that I get five bars on with my Wi-Fi antenna of 150 to 300 something something.
I surf the web a lot faster now and everything is good with videos and stuff, but can the Xbox One with built in Wi-Fi satisfy my racing game needs or will it just be a brick?
If you have access to nearby Wi-Fi, then congrats you have Broadband. Your Xbox is good to go. How do you think everyone else is hooking up their Xbox’s? Cable?
If you’re getting enough internet speed to watch videos relatively at a decent resolution, you’re fine for the XboxOne. You might be a little slow for true multiplayer gaming, but for the basic needs of the system you’ll be fine - the system will do updates on its own and in the background so a slower connection isn’t a huge problem; but some kind of connection is needed (even if it is no longer strictly required, like they originally planned on).
Thank you kindly … that’s great news I just want to get the updates and game downloads and things like that. Will I need a gold live card if I don’t play games?
The last time I played games online everyone was calling someone’s moma a bad name lol
So no one is even wondering how a poster has no broadband of their own to use but has access to a “nearby Wifi”? Sounds to me like our poster may be stealing from a neighbor’s unsecured wifi! Haha
The manager is 93 years old and goes to bed early and I’m surrounded by old people that can’t remember their passwords so I see a lot of open doors to the internet.
