So what do you all think? I haven’t watched it in years. I would stay up when I was a kid and watch in the 70s but there was no cable in my house and it was fun just to stay up.

I honestly had no idea they were still doing that.
I’ve never watched it that I remember, probably wouldn’t anyway this year but I’ll be in Hawaii. I’m not spending my vacation watching that!

I usually tune in a bit while channel surfing.
They have some guests I enjoy seeing. I always make a donation. It’s for a good cause. A lot of the money goes to families to purchase wheelchairs, braces and other medical equipment.
Unlike the others, Jerry Lewis was never funny and thus we all agree. No need for thread.
Oh, I’ll stumble on to Jerry as I cross the dial for other stations. I like to see how the fossilization process is going with him. I realize he has had some health challenges so I cut him a break. You never know when Jerry will say something outrageous that he will have to retract. He’s at that stage of life.
I thought he was hilarious when I was ten years old. Probably because he acted like a ten-year old on crack.
I would had bet a $100 that it disappeared 10 years ago at the very least. I won’t be watching but at least I learned something new and surprising today. I got a bigger shock a few weeks ago when I saw that they never stopped making America’s Funniest Home videos as a TV show. I am not very up on TV events. I just assumed that all the ones from my childhood were already dead.
No. As a kid it was always interrupting my favorite tv shows, so I made it a point to never watch it.
I have donated on the occasions I have the cash to do so though.

I did, but only because I ran across it last year. Before that I had no idea.
I won’t be watching. I hated it back when I was young and it was on all the channels, now that there is variety - I think I’ll still go out and watch a movie or something.
Wow, reading that list of ‘stars’ is depressing. Definitely not watching.

I think I may have watched part of one Jerry Lewis marathon as a kid. I see no reason to start after more than 20 years of not…
The few times in the past when I happened to catch parts of it, I was embarrassed for the performers. So I make it a rule to avoid it.
I believe I’ve seen at least five minutes (some years many hours) of every Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon since 1970.
This year will be no exception. It’s almost as if I have to watch at least some of it.
Like a weird supersition.
I know that it’s for a good cause. But I can’t stand Lewis, and it seems that most of the “stars” are appearing just to get some exposure. So no, I won’t be watching.
