William Sleator appreciation thread

On a whim I picked up Interstellar Pig, a book fondly remembered from childhood, at the Friends of the Library sale. I just finished re-reading it. As an adult, I can see that the writing is a little bit simplistic, the clues are of the bash-on-the-noggin variety, and everything is a bit over-explained. However, it was just as gripping as I remembered it. I just couldn’t put it down. It made for some very nice summer reading, a break from the heavier things I’ve been tackling. Quick and intense and not too taxing.

I read The Boy Who Reversed Himself a while back, for the first time, and found that quite enjoyable, too. I think I’ll have to get a copy of Singularity, the other Sleator book I read as a kid, and maybe start hunting down the rest of his stuff. Oooh, I see he’s written a sequel to Interstellar Pig, too.

Anybody else like Sleator? Recommendations on what to pick up next?
