To be honest, he would have probably lived longer if he had remained in captivity in a modern oceanic facility where he would have had medical care and plenty of food. By the time he was released, he was probably too tame to make it in the wild.
I hope the freedom of the open sea for a few years was worth the struggle to survive. I sure most people would argue it was.
Actually, it bummed me out this morning too. I was pretty sad. Like ** Skammer ** said, I hope being out in the open sea, was worth it for him.
Sad day indeed.
