Anyone catch Greed on TV last night? I only saw a little of it, but they showed a clip from a previous show where the $100,000 question was:
What does .com stand for?
Some of the answers were commercial, company, etc. Well they answered company, and of course they were wrong.
Well the host said that the question was confusing and since enough people believe it is company, they are bringing back the contestants Friday, and they will play on.
WTF?!?? Who cares what most people think the answer is. The answer is commercial.
Do you think this is just another ploy to copy Who Wants to Be a Millionaire for the publicity they got when they let a contestant return, or are game shows just getting lax on the rules?
This isn’t Family Feud where other’s opinions of the answers matter.
No shit, Stevie! Give me a break, you politically correct boneheads!
Arrrgh!
But Stevie, we are in a new age. The age of the survey. In this age it matters more what the majority thinks rather than what the truth is.
This is evidenced by the fact that Mr. Clinton said that he knew that the new Century did not start until next year (2001), but since the majority of people believe it is 2000 then that is when it would be celebrated.
The majority rules. We are in a true democracy. The will of the people is now law.

Let us not overlook that the questions on WWTBAM are insanely easy when compared to Win Ben Stien’s Money (my fav), and the highest prize value is $5000, and the contestants rarely win that!
How could I charge full price to the man whose lust for filthy magazines kept me in business through that first shaky year. Oh, by the way, here’s your new issue of “Gigantic Asses.”

In this day and age the dot-com people should have been dismissed.
We even have a dot-com guy who is a commercial promotion.
