Windows 7 allows you to define wallpaper as a slide show and lets you rotate the image in intervals of 10 seconds up to 1 day. But I’d rather do it for a week. Is there a config file where this interval is stored that I can update manually? Or maybe a Registry setting?
never tried it before so do so under your own risk and backup your registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Personalization\Desktop Slideshow
modify the value for interval, it should be in milliseconds.

I can confirm that doing what shijinn describes above works, but if you reopen the personalization window the interval will be reset to 1 day and you have to edit the registry again.
