Windows 98 question

With Windows 98 it lets you make multiple users each with there own settings (my documents, wall paper, icons, ect) but for some reason if I change the screen saver it affects my desktop and the rest of my families. Also if I down load something and it install it say SETI@home for example it will load on my moms desktop. How do I make it so I can have my own screen saver and so programs I install don’t show up on my moms desktop?

in short, get Windows 2000 Professional.

Windows 95/98/ME weren’t really designed to handle multiple user profiles very well. It has user specific password lists and can do cosmetic things, but it is very limited. There may be third party applications that do what you’re asking, but as far as the operating system itself is concerned, you’re stuck.
