Windows Explorer, AOL, and "resources"

I’ve had this happen a couple of time to me, usually when I’m leaving the Internet on my home computer.
I’ll get one of those ominous white dialog boxes for Windows Explorer (which usualy irks me when something gets screwed up by dint of a “general fault”) say that the system–I use AOL as an Internet browser–is ‘dangerously low on resources.’
What the devil does this mean? Is there anything I can do about it?

It probably means your computer is 10 years old and you should buy more RAM :stuck_out_tongue:
