Windows Media Player 10 Looping

With Windows Media Player 10 any audio or video file I play runs continuously in a loop: that is, it comes to the end, immediately starts over, and continues to do so until I manually hit pause or close the window.

I can’t find any setting that would allow me to change this, but I’m hoping there’s one someplace that I’ve overlooked.

Play -> Repeat (uncheck it)
Or push CTRL-T.

Also, there’s a little ambiguous icon at the bottom right-hand corner of the player (when in full mode, not skin mode) that is an arrow that goes in a rectangle, with two little vertical arrows in it. Mouse over it to see what it says.

It controls shuffle and repeat (loop). If they’re both on, click once to turn off both. Click again to turn on shuffle. Again to turn on repeat and turn off shuffle. Again to turn on both. Again to turn off both.

Clear as mud, right? :slight_smile:

I never even noticed that icon, but if you right-click on it, the menu with all the controls appears. Amazing design interfere engineering.

Thanks for pointing it out.
