I’m going to buy a new computer and have to choose between Windows 98SE and Windows ME. Which is better? And whats the difference?
Go with Windows ME, its an upgrade from 98. Aside from a few cosmetic changes, I assume most of the differences are internal.
I have ME and I could not get a dial connection with an ISP. Had to go to cable. Probably was a good move anyway. I don’t know if it was the computer or what? AOL tech (?) guy told me to exchange it for 98.
I read an article some time back, before I bought my computer in October, by one of those column computer experts, who said that 98 was actually better. I don’t remember the particulars. From my experience, if you’re staying with a dial-up connection, get the 98.
