I’ve never had a reason to use my sound recorder so today while I went to try to use it, I couldn’t find it. It’s nowhere on my system. I was however able to go through the XP guide and practice using the sound recorder
I’ve searched everywhere? I also have Sound Blaster Live 5.1 that came installed with my computer and it’s nowhere to be found as well.
I’ve searched all over the Microsoft Tech Support site and I can’t find anything that can help.
Any ideas? Is something wrong with my sound card?
Click on Start > Run and type “sndrec32.exe” (without the quotes) then click OK.
Any love?
Under XP, my sound recorder’s under programs > accessories > entertainment > sound recorder. There are also shareware programs that do the same thing, but other people can tell you which one’s the best.
I get an error message saying Windows cannot find sndrec32.exe. ??
The MS Sound Recorder or sndrec32.exe is supposed to be located at -->
C:\windows\system32\sndrec32.exe
If it’s not there it was probably never installed or has gone missing. Search your pc for sndrec32.exe. Still not found? Search your XP Install CD and copy it off there.
