Lately, excel attachments from work have been showing up in winmail.dat form my iPhone 6 cannot open them. While I can access them from my laptop, on the phone it is no go, and I really need to be able to see it on the phone. Any advice as to how I can do this?

So the situation is that the person sending these is not the most…umm…tech savvy person. I would prefer to take care of this from my end. Since most of my co-workers seem to to have no problem I suspect that all the data is there. Is there an app for that?
Can you forward the attachment to yourself from your computer?
There are quite a few at the App Store. Winmaildat Opener looks like the best-reviewed totally free one.
