Winston tastes good like a cigarette should?

I know this was supposed to be bad grammer. What is/was the proposed correct form?

Winston had another series of commercials stating that “Winston tastes good as a cigarette should.”

What do you want, good grammar or good taste?

Thanks! It’s clear like a bell now!

Or in the words of “Granny” Clampett: “Winston tastes good like a cigarette had oughta!”
