I sent cards to my three addressees, but have only recieved word from one of them. One person I sent to signed up in the thread and hasn’t been back since.

I received a wonderful packet of Kansas-centric cards from Baker, all wrapped up in adorable kittens. 
One card I find especially awesome features American Bison, aka buffalo. My childhood was spent not far from Kansas and one of my family’s favorite day trips was to “Buffalo Ranch” in Afton, Oklahoma. The highlight for us kids was a stuffed buffalo (poor 'lo!) on which you could have your picture made, like this. Credit to whoever’s picture that is - it’s not mine, but I have one exactly like it except with ME perched atop the buffalo. While looking for photos of Buffalo Ranch online, I learned that the attraction was apparently demolished in the early 2000s to make way for a convenience store. Oh the humanity!
Oh - and I’d never seen “The Spirit of Kansas” before, but she is absolutely lovely. Thanks for these terrific cards, Baker, especially for the one that triggered a nice walk with the buffalo down memory lane! 
So glad you like them! I was beginning to worry about whether or not I’d addressed the cards right! That “Spirit” card shows how art styles have changed. But if that gal’s hair was shorter her face really resembled my maternal grandmother. I’ve sent that card before because I like it.

I really like it too, beautiful card. Wonder if there’s any way to find out if the original artist of the card used a live human model for “Spirit” or just imagined the face? No idea if that style of art was typically from the artist’s imagination versus models but fun to think about.
TBG, you should have one from me at some point. I’d have thought you received it by now but international probably just takes longer. Please keep your eye out, and if nothing turns up in the next couple of weeks I’m going to try again!

I got two poostcards today! One from Karen Lingel of a painting of yummy desserts and one all the way from Australia of many cute roos and roo-like creatures

3 of them, in an envelope from Helena330, two featuring Sequoia trees (and Paul Bunyan), and one featuring a gorgeous photo of the Crater Lake National Park. Crater Lake is, apparently, very deep.
One of the persons who was supposed to send cards says they did, but nobody has recieved them. This person also recieved cards, or at least has had cards sent to them, but has not acknowledged them. I sent to them, and I’ve been in PM contact with another player who sent to them, and nope, no thank yous or anything. The only time this player has been in the thread was when they signed up.
People, if you are going to be too “busy”, don’t play.
