Rembrandt Plus Peroxide Gel Wintergreen!
Congratulations to chukhung for suggesting it first (and doing so much research), and jinwicked for seconding it.
Don’t think I didn’t give the runners up any consideration. Colgate Cavity Protection Winterfresh Gel was an early favorite, but I really wanted the baking soda & peroxide combo to help me fight off the occassional canker sore (it does seem to help to a degree). Alas, there wasn’t any Tom’s of Maine Wintermint at this particular store, but, again, the lure of the peroxide was calling me anyway. Now, Pepsodent, at a mere $0.77 :eek: was a surprise come-from-behind entry, but, in the final wash, wanting that peroxide put Rembrandt in the winner’s circle.
Now I’ve tried it, and it has the taste I like. However, it’s got a peroxide aftertaste I’m not fond of, so when I use up this tube (and of course I got the “50% more free” tube for $7 - that stuff is expensive toothpaste!), I think I may go ahead and try the other suggestions here.
For the record, Q.N. Jones, I should point out that I actually did try Crest Multi-Care Cool Mint, and it is not in any way wintergreen flavored. Your entry is outcast - for shame! ( )

(On another note, I bought a brand spankin’ new toothbrush to go with it, which is really keen, except that the handle is too fat to fit into my toothbrush holder.
