This is probably a really dumb question. Will my Bluetooth/wireless capable PDA (HP ipaq H2210) somehow ‘connect’ to my ADSL wireless router/modem and use the broadband internet?
Arse.
A “no” would have sufficed.
Would a “yes” do you?
Assuming they use the same wireless standard then there is no reason why you shouldn’t be able to connect to the net through your hand-puter.
My understanding is that the 2210 has bluetooth built-in, but requires a separate card for 802.11. So unless your router has bluetooth (unlikely, I’ve never heard of this), you’ll need to either:
- get a bluetooth dongle for your desktop or notebook and connect through that
- connect through a bluetooth-capable cell phone
- get a wireless compact flash or secure digital (CF will be much cheaper) and connect to your router or hotspot through that.
