Without a Trace 11/17

I thought this was a strange episode.

The producers did a decent job of trying to convey the confusion felt by the parents of a missing child. It also seemed like something else was going to happen such as one of the parents having something to do with the dissapearance or having a deep, dark secret that led to the dissapearance.

I was kind of confused through the entire episode. Although I knew what was going on, it felt like something else should have been happening; I am just not sure what.

Did anyone else get this feeling or was it just a carry-over of my “allergies” from watching CSI?

I was actually crocheting and not watching, but it seemed to me that this episode, unlike all the others, was told from the point of view of the missing boy’s family, rather than the agents themselves, which I think is where the strange feel came from. It wasn’t a bad episode, but definitely not one of my favorites. It definitely felt like there was a little bit missing.

Yep, that was the whole point. I thought it was very well done, although there was some overacting by the parents, especially “Roseanne’s sister.” Good job for a show that is underrated.

I didn’t watch it, and as a rule don’t…

Sounds to me like they’re experimenting with their formula… ala CSI/House…fortunatley for the other two, they do it without hitting you over the head with it.

Nah, I doubt they were experimenting with their formula. I think it was a one-shot perspective change. An artistic whimsy, if you will. I also think it was extremely well done. I enjoyed it a great deal.

Yeah, me too. An I thought the actors playing the parents did a fine job, just what I would expect from parents under the circumstances.
