*Hey! You’re young and swingin’,
No time to think about tomorrow.
But there ain’t no use in denyin’ it–
Some day, you’re gonna buy it.
So get yourself to Ferriman tomorrow!
Ferriman!
Ferriman!
He’s the man with the plot, the man with the plan–
Ferriman!
Ferriman!
He’s the mortician man who loves you–a lot!*
Aside from the Turkey Drop episode — which is, let’s face it, in a whole 'nother paradigm — this is probably my favorite. Mainly because of Fred Stuhlman’s performance. One line that always cracks me up (talking about the fact that he runs a high-volume business):
Hey, you’re young and swingin’,
No time to think about tomorrow,
But they’re ain’t no use in denying that
One day, you’re gonna have a flat.
…for a Morrison, tomorrow!
Morrison…Morrison…
He’s the man with the jack,
The man with the plan,
Morrison, Morrison,
He’s the tire-makin’ man who loves you…a lot.
Said tothe bartender
Best night I ever had
Singing to the bar
Had a microphone
In her heart
I said goodbye now
I had a bird in hand
I said I’m doin’ good
And put love
In her heart.
Not gibberish like they say. If you listen you will hear.
Wake up, sucker, this is the phone company we’re talking about! They see everything, they know everything, they got their own covert police force! I’m probably wired for sound right now! I gotta get out of here!
Or the fact that it was Otto that posted that 6 years ago.
Once again, a lone stranger drops by the board, enlightens us all with his knowledge and depth, then vanishes. Come back, stranger! We didn’t even get to say “Thanks.”
