Wolverine and Jubilee

Let’s discuss the serious issues? Are they the greatest superhero duo ever? Or should they skip all that and be romantically linked like a lot of fan fic supposes? Seems to me that Jubes should be grown up and legal by now…isn’t it about time for her to jump back into Wolvie’s life? And perhaps his pants?

I know I would.

Well I can’t speak for the comic book guy who bears my name I can say that Jubilee can come over anytime she wants.

She is definately above the age of consent by now real time but comic time is much slower. She’s probably only aged a year to 2 years at most. :frowning:

Besides, the relationship with Jubilee is much more of a father/daughter relationship than anything sexual. To even consider such a thing is all kinds of trouble.

The greatest duo ever? Not by a long shot. Maybe the most amusing, but Batman and Robin or Cloak and Dagger are more dangerous than Wolverine and Jubilee.

 Perhaps I’ll change my screen name ::raised eyebrow:: and we can explore our mutant abilities

Well, of course it leans more towards father/daughter, but its alluded to several times in the comic that she has a crush on him, she’s seen him nearly naked, he calls her his “lifeline”. Fan fic sites like

devote EONS of time to developing their romance and it seems sort of sweet.

oh well good lord, they aren’t NOW. But I’m saying if we brought her back, they could BECOME the greatest.

I haven’t read any of the fanfics yet but I will soon.

Meanwhile, [IMHO] Jubilee still needs to learn to expound her powers. Age of Apocolypse showed us (as I long suspected) her powers can explode things on the molecular level. She should be one of the most powerful beings on the planet. It only requires her to learn how to harness her abilities. Then, W/J duo can compete with the classic partners. But if she never does, than she is more a sidekick than a partner.

IMHO, Jubilee is just a character they created for the sole purpose of filling Kitty Pryde’s role as Wolverine’s surrogate “daughter” after Kitty left to join Excalibur. I stopped reading the X-books after Marvel realized that it was a phenomenon they could milk for big bucks. The last really good X-story I can remember reading was when the New Mutants went to Asgard and the X-Men went after them…great story, and awesome art by Art Adams. I miss those days…ahh memories.
