Ok ladies, need your help. I was wondering if there is a specific name for those sweaters I see a lot of women wearing now a days. They are oversized, like a bothrobe that ties around the front. They look comfortable, but I was wondering if there is a specific name for them and wear I can find them. Help, little more than a week left.
They’re called sweater-coats by at least my wife, all of her friends, and various salepeople at local department stores.
Thanks, I guess I should’ve been asking the guys as well, cause I’m sure there’s more than just myself out there looking for them.
I’ve heard them called “sweater dusters” as well - like the duster jacket, not for wiping up dust with. - though this might be more for the ones that button down the front, like a very long cardigan.
I call them “Maude sweaters.” Blech.
I have no clue what you people are talking about.
ick. I was forced by my mom to wear them in the oh-so fashionable 70s and we called them sweater-coats too.
I find it somewhat amusing that girls wear these sweaters, but the obviously don’t provide any warmth because the girls are always walking around holding their arms close to their bodies to keep warm.
Ahh, the humor of fashion
