Women Against Feminism

In constrast to the kind of shit that MRAs posted in this thread?

Look, you can act all butt-hurt if you want, but you’ve done a piss poor job of defending your position by failing to make any kind of compelling argument for it. In addition you’ve repeatedly painted all “feminists” with the same brush using your own poisoned definition for the term.

Which posters in this thread have self-identified as MRA’s? Please bear in mind that MRA stands for Men’s Right’s Activist. Posters of either gender who merely have a low opinion of the honesty of 3rd wave gender feminists and the arguments/tactics they employ don’t qualify.

Are you familiar with the, ‘If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck’ line of reasoning?

Mansplaining:

2008 definition “Whenever a man condescends to a woman due to her sex, especially on topics where his viewpoint is entirely conjectural while hers includes the empirical.”

2015 definition: “Whenever anyone with a penis disagrees with me.”

Next: Object to bulldozing the homes of Palestinian families whose kid threw a rock? Dressed as you are, your Einsatzgruppen uniform must be in the cleaners.

Of course. Trouble is, I don’t think you know what a ‘duck’ looks like in this context. if you want to see what an MRA looks like, check out A Voice For Men or Return of Kings (I don’t recommend it) then compare what you see there to what I, LinusK, and the women on ‘Women Against Feminism’ have said. You’ll see there’s a pretty big difference in both tone and content.

I’ve noticed an irritating trend among feminists (especially here) to equate critics of the arguments and tactics of 3rd wave gender feminism with the MRA movement. It’s dishonest, and a bit like equating critics of Israeli foreign policy with the KKK.

Exactly!

double post.

Like Karen Straughan?

I only vaguely know who that is. What’s she said?

Familiarizing yourself enough with the OP’s “tone and content” that you’d be able to fairly criticize calling him an MRA as analogous to calling someone a Nazi would give you more than a vague idea who Karen Straughan is.

I think it’s amusing, that among all of you, you think I’m obligated to answer your questions, but rarely do you answer mine.

As to Andros, that’s my opinion. You’re free to disregard it if you like.

As to ddsun, there is none, so far as I know.

The trouble I have with your argument, and that of the OP, is that you paint ALL feminists as having the same agenda.

I don’t know what “3rd wave gender feminism” means to you - to me it’s just a branch of extremism that calls itself feminism but is actually thinly veiled misandry. And I don’t know what earned it the unique title “3rd wave” or what specifically distinguishes it from other forms of misandry. To me, it just seem like a contrivance.

Perhaps you can explain better than the OP has thus far?

I want to clarify my statement because I just took a few minutes to clarify my own wrong assumption about the meaning of 3rd wave feminism. Seems I’m behind the wave on this one.

If I understand correctly, there is no general agreement on what it is exactly but it’s the most current evolution of the feminist movement, not that different from gen 2 by some accounts. And so it isn’t the more extreme form of feminism that I assumed it was but just the updated form of the gender equal rights movement. That said, like all the previous generations, it contains it’s extremist views. In that respect, I stand by my objection to the OP’s tendency to colouring all feminists with the same wide brush.

Nevertheless, I acknowledge my personal ignorance fought.

I agree. The thing is feminists are predictable when they’re criticized.

It’s not personal. It’s just their default reaction. Their goal is to shut you up. But the more they do it, the more they expose who they are.

How about the many posts and posters that attempt to engage you in discussion that you seem to be ignoring?

…And who is that?

I have studied many systems that stifle dissent. In USSR anyone who publicly criticized Communism was either imprisoned or institutionalized.

Many men are very angry – including hundreds of thousands of male victims of Domestic Violence who were at least not helped or even forced to take abusers classes. But few of them speak because they do not want to be shamed.

Ah, yes. Those were the days, my friend. We thought they’d never end.

We’d sing and dance, forever and a day.

We’d fight and never lose
