Women look horrible with one side of their head shaved

I’d say give it a shot and see how it goes. The thing of it is that it’s easier to screw up your hair than to screw up not having hair. My own penchant for close-cropped hair means no old pics of me with a giant afro or jheri curl.

Could just be me -i didn’t think Britney looked all that bad with no hair - but I think a lot more women could pull off shaved or partially-shaved heads than we will ever know.

Some posters need to understand that IMHO is the unspoken safe space for special snowflakes everywhere who cannot bear any criticism or unpopular opinions. Nobody wants any bedbugs in their hugbox.

Trigger warning next time, OP

Does that also go for OPs, Incubus, and their speshul snowflakeness? I mean, the current one seems to be infinitely better able to handle critiques, opposite (even vitriolic) opinions than some of those in the thread who “cannot bear any criticism(s) or unpopular opinions.”

Freedom of opinion only applies to the speaker. Not the listener.

I’m just glad it hasn’t spread to other parts of the body.

This entire site is a D&B forum. Or am I doing it wrong?

Heh.

Then you should definitely not Google “pubic hair style.”

Thank you, OP. Next time I am choosing a hair style, I will definitely give the opinion of some random dude the weight that it deserves (which is basically none.)

I’m glad that everyone is so enlightened and nonjudgmental now! You really have put the OP in his place, and made it clear that being opinionated about looks is small-minded and petty.

I’m glad things have changed around here, because they sure were different 7 years ago in this thread.

I love this, and I’ve never heard the phrase before. Is it your own creation? Can I buy the t-shirt?

That’s because 7 years ago women were repressed. Now they have the freedom to chastise someone on the internet.

Yanno, since apparently no one that’s complaining can see the bloody obvious… I doubt anyone, myself included, would’ve taken the OP to task if he’d have merely stated his opinion. If he’d have stated his opinion and was willing to entertain others’ opinions. But when you state an absolute, people usually respond this way. It’s not a woman (or womyn, if that’s your bent), it’s a person thing. Most folks don’t respond well to absolutes, especially when they’re easily disapproven. And in this case, what’s totally hilarious, is the OP came back and apologized if he’d offended anyone and hasn’t complained about his treatment in this thread. Interesting, that.

Stating an opinion and stating an absolute is no small distinction though.

Spot on. The distinction IS important. That’s why, a million years ago, one of our most prolific, late lamented, controversial banned members took so much heat. He could never, ever state an opinion as anything but fact. Drove everyone bonkers, it did.

No it didn’t.

Ya’ know…
This forum is “In my humble opinion.” It seems to me that any thread can be assumed to be prefaced with “It’s my opinion that…”

Hairstyle doesn’t make a woman look horrible, or even not so good looking, if she looks nice with hair on both sides of her head. I wouldn’t choose this hairstyle for my wife, but I’d still think she was hot with it. Same for any other woman.

I wonder why that never worked for poor, misunderstood Dio? :stuck_out_tongue:

OK, now who’s cynical?

So from now on, if you want to say how you feel about something subjective, even though that’s pretty much the definition of an opinion, you must preface it with “In my opinion”, and follow it with “But what do you think?”.
