Today was the last day of the current semester at my university, and I am not renewing my contract. I am out of here… going back to the US, with my lovely Astrogirl at my side (assuming her visa ever comes through that is).

[sup]*Well, technically my contract lasts until the end of Feb., so I still get a paycheck until then… but I don’t have to work for it![/sup]

(actually, I will need another job within a couple of months, and I have no idea what kind of job to look for… but that’s another thread for IMHO, which I will write tomorrow when I am slightly soberer…)
And by the way, thank you SO much for the book. I’m sure the King will love it. I’ll see him in January, so I’ll let you know then! Loads of smooches and thanks again!!
We’re headed to San Diego, at least as a first destination… after a few months we may pack up and go eslewhere. It depends on the job market, and some other considerations…
screech, I’m glad the book got there… I was gonna e-mail you to ask, but was reluctant for fear that it would point out how long it took me to MAIL the dumb thing! It sat by my desk for weeks before I finally remembered and hauled it to the post office! Hehe… as I said, I’m lazy!
Good luck with your job search, Astroboy! And it’s a damn shame that you won’t be heading anywhere near South Carolina, because I would certainly like to thank you in person for the earpick you sent me in the first White Elephant exchange.
