Well, jsc1953, we got a glimpse of the Two Watchers in the theatrical version of ROTK, so I wouldn’t give up hope that we might see a bit more of them. The entire Tower of Cirith Ungol sequence felt very rushed, as though it had been snipped down from something longer. Here’s hoping!
I want more Saruman badness! Hopefully they’ve included the face-off between Gandalf and Saruman at Orthanc, where Gandalf kicks arse and takes names: that was the scene I missed the most in TTT and ROTK - after being such a major villain, Saruman doesn’t even get a last scene: Treebeard locks him in the tower, and that’s it. MORE SARUMAN!
Of course, I’d like to have seen The Scouring Of The Shire, too, but that would have addded at least another hour to the movie.
Christopher Lee did promise some goodness, and they showed a little of the scene. I’m really looking forward to that.
Yeah just yukking it up. I own all three movies on DVD (in fullscreen :gasp!). I do like the image of the lamer house though. Kind of like lambda lambda lambda house in revenge of the nerds.
Weirdly enough, I was delighted to find that
the Mouth of Sauron
was in the ROTK video game, presumably modeled after the deleted scene. Of course, Aragorn did have to best him in single combat, for some reason…
I suppose footage based on the appendices describing the invasion of the Wainriders and the ride of Eorl the Young into Calenardhon is not to be expected?
Likely neither is the brief stay of Aragorn and his avenging zombie army in Calembel. I just like imagining him camping out there and scaring holy hell out of the locals. 
I’d like to see the Denethor Goes Completely Loopy Because Of The Palantir scene. I really hope they filmed it. Without it, Denethor just looks like this crazy mean loopy son-hating bastard.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that…
I’m seriously considering purchasing a portable DVD player so that I can rip the movie from its box and begin watching it immediately after paying for it.
I have microbiology exam on the 14th at 9am… think they’ll mind if I watch the movie as I write the exam? I’ll use headphones!
I understand there’s a lot more on Denethor’s character development in EE, and he’s portrayed more as a mighty leader who despaired.
That’s what I heard, anyway. We’ll see.

Jackson never even attempted to film it. He never liked it in the first place, in spite of JRRT’s emphasis upon its importance to the overall story.
