He tried to portray Mia as an unfit mother and a woman scorned. When his children said they didn’t want to see him, he accused Mia of “brainwashing” them. When the judge offered him visitation with his biological son Satchell, Allen refused, stating he wanted to visit with all of the children or none of them. The judge cut off all visitation.
Woody married Soon-Yi. They live in France and have two adopted daughters. He does not see Mia or her family.
He was in a committed relationship - the evidence that he had ‘taken on a traditional paternal role’ wrt Soon Yi is not in evidence. They did not live in the same household, he did not spend the night there. Do you have evidence that he attended parent/teacher meetings, took her to doctors appointments, was involved in the decision making process for her education, religion, disciplin? My partner and I have been togehter for 17 years, starting from when my son was 2. we didn’t live in the same household, etc etc etc. He was “Mom’s boyfriend”, not “daddy”.
Because of Soon Yi’s background, her age (IIRC) was under dispute. In any event, my recollection was that she was 17 or so, which, depending on the AOC wasn’t underage.
The cheating behavior is what you’ve got him on. But it’s not illegal. Nor is it (traditionally) used as a reason to forever bar some one from adopting or anything else.
Ok then my point here is HE TOOK ON THE TRADITONAL ROLE AS FATHER TO THE CHILDREN with a statement like that. All those children were not his! Previn may be the father figure to Soon-Yi now but what type of relationship did Woody have with her while he was dating her mother?

here, according to this Soon Yi’s year of birth is 1970. The whole bru ha ha w/Mia et al happened in 1996 so she was 26. Hardly a minor. and, doing the math, he entered her mom’s life when she was 16. So, if he did play a ‘fatherly role figure’, it wasn’t from childhood, nor did he know her as a child, but only as an older teen/young adult.
you’re quite welcome to think him scum on any number of issues, but it doesn’t appear that there’s any evidence that she was under age at any point where there was contact.
