Woohoo spring is finally here.

It’s officially spring now, because I’m having my first cookout of the year tonight.

Technically this isn’t my first one of the year, cause I grill through the snow all winter, but for this one I invited a bunch of people and washed off the porch chairs, so it counts.

I usually like to have T-bones or ribeyes for the inagural cook-out, but since I have no job, I had to scale it back to burgers this year. Still got lots of beer though.

Tonight I believe I will go with a Bacon, Onion, Tomato(Real, juicy ripe tomatoes I payed out the ass for, not those crappy winter tomatoes they manufacture at a factory in Philly) Barbecue sauce and sharp cheddar.

Beer and burgers sounds great to me, wolfman! What time should we be there?

Burgers goin on the grill in about 30 minutes, so you better hurry.

Yum! Except we’ve been grilling out for a month now, I guess. Spring was about a week long (maybe…probably less) and we’re now hurdling into summer.

Glad you caught up! I guess getting the warm weather earlier is about the main benefit of living in The South. Of course, we bitch and scream about broiling to death in October while y’all are tossing snowballs, so maybe it’s not that great a benefit. Actually, I’m not sure where you live, so maybe your summers/springs last as long as ours.

If anybody wants me to bring the beer and/or wine, I’m game!

Great, I’m on my way!

Errr…you do live within a few minutes drive of the Jersey Shore, right?

The first cookout of the year went well. The burgers were around 93/100 if I do say so myself. The taste was perfect, but I failed a bit at the patty shaping (they balled up a bit, but it was my first burgers of the year, it takes at least once to get into the knack of it again. ;))

Plus still a bit of beer left over for today.
