I’ve worked for my present employer for the last 15 years. With this company you receive a mid-year evaluation, just to let you know if you are on track, and you receive an annual evaluation where you receive your pay increases. In all my tenture with this company, they have not ever given me a title change and raise in the middle of the year. They always wait until the annual, that way they don’t get stuck giving you a cost of living raise and a merit raise.
Tuesday, my supervisor called me in, GAVE ME A RAISE and changed my title, in the MIDDLE of the year!!!
WOOOOOHOOOOO it’s about time something good happened!
Well done! Any ideas as to why you have been blessed in this way? Is it that you have finally been recognised as a valuable company asset? Or is your boss feeling guilty for not doing this a lot sooner?
All I can say is lap up the good will while it lasts.
