I was doing some word puzzles, but there were a few I couldn’t figure out. I hope the spacing comes out fine.

Well, 1) is 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other, and 2) is pineapple upside down cake.

Had to get those in, just to be first. Now I’ll go work on the others.

#7 is right between the eyes

#8 is a backwards glance

#5 is three degrees below zero

Ok, the spaces didn’t turn out right. Shoulda’ known.
I’ll try to clear them up.

In 3) the letters should be in a “V” shape, with C at the upper left, E being the point at the bottom of the “V”, and the S and T going up to the right.

In 4) the letters form a box. The “= Boxcar?” is my guess, but I’m not sure.

The rest are close enough. I guess UBB code doesn’t underline. grumble

I was hoping the shape for #3 was different than it first appeared, but a “v” wasn’t the shape I wanted. I came up with sea chest (letters form a “c”) or barrel chest - but not a vee. Broad chest?

You’re right about #4 - it is boxcar. Now what the heck is #6?

Concave chest? Is that a common expression? I don’t even think I know what it is. Anyone wish to corroborate Rilchiam’s answer?

Oh, and as I told Rilchiam via email, the answer I came up with for 6 is Once Upon a Time.

I knew what the teaser was supposed to mean, but I don’t see how you can actually get the “answer” from the “puzzle.”

But I have no idea what #6 is; that seems to be the only one outstanding.
