Third guess was the key. After the second guess, here were a lot of ?IxxY words, where the xx are a double letter, that could have sunk me. I thought about DIZZY/DIVVY for a while and decided I really needed a broader range of consonants. I feel lucky today.
Looks like a four is the norm today.

HOUSE is the only starter on my list that contains an H, so I caught a little bit of luck there. Didn’t think CHINA would be the answer, but I thought it would be a good letter-finder, and I was right.
Then I was fortunate enough to see WHICH before THICK, which was the only other possible solution. Happy with my play today!
