Stupid WordleBot sneered at my choice of TIGON, but it was the only word I could think of with a T, I and O in the right places, and it eliminated every other answer

As usual, waited too long to try a test word. Most of my options ( COVER, MOVER, COMER) had an m or c. I seem to remember FOYER already being used. That left ROVER, ROGER and JOKER. I couldn’t come up with a good enough test word that started with r and included c and m or m and v. I gambled on no double letters and won but this one was just lucky.

I hear ya, @Chefguy … and you did well with the themed sequence, @BobLibDem !
DITTO → Slow start. Common consonants, and another vowel…
SONAR → Two placed. Not bad, should be another vowel out there…
LOWER → Trap! Two letter spaces, and too many possibliities…
BOXER → Nope…
FOYER* → Nope again… one last try…
POKER → And the answer becomes obvious, just one guess too late!
I thought yesterday’s six was going to be the low point of the week for me, but Wordle had other plans. On further reflection, I should have played POKER earlier to get the “-OPER/-OKER” words fully exercised. Scoredle starts obsessing on COVER once the trap appears; but there are so many possibilities left that it’s sheer luck (and Scoredle is unlucky too!)
Yes! I got it in 6 but I am very happy with it. This Wordle made for tough sleuthing, but I beat it.
Take THAT, Wordle!

I am really happy with this 6!
Looking at my notes, I could have gotten lucky and got it in 4, but that would not have been as satisfying. Seriously!
