DRIFT

After 2 I had to break hard mode rules and go with a sleuth word. Or at least super hard mode rules; pretty sure the actual hard mode lets you reuse known bad letters.
So anyway, after removing previous answers I came up with I think eight possible solutions. Drift was the sleuth word that would positively identify among the eight, except I messed up. It did not identify between buddy and muddy. In the end I just had to trust the B despite having seen muddy first.

READY
MOODY
BUDDY
My first tossup was between MOODY and WINDY. WINDY had already been used, so MOODY won. I still had two vowels I hadn’t tried, so I looked to see if GIDDY and BUDDY were available. Only BUDDY was, so that decided me.
And I beat the bot by two this time!

ZEBRA → Slow start. B is a nice pickup, but I was hoping for more from the more common letters. Let’s see, throw in two of the four remaining WoFcons with O & I, and we get
BOILS → Uh, oh. U & Y the only vowels left. I could check them both with BUNNY - but there’s also BUDDY, BUMPY, maybe BUFFY, and possibly some others I can’t think of or don’t see. It’s a TRAP! OK, don’t panic. What word can cover the most possibles? After thinking for a while, I came up with
BUNDT → which very nicely pointed the way to
BUDDY
I thought I played that rather skillfully, but Scoredle says I should have tried BUNNY for that third guess. But then, Scoredle falls into the trap and doesn’t solve, both given my start word and starting from my third guess, so I think I officially beat the bot that time…
I’ve been traveling for the past couple weeks and not posting much. I did forget to play twice, so my streak is gone.
But I wanted to share yesterday’s results, just for the oddity of having played the A in every position, in order.

Got a bit lucky on this one. I was laser focused on starting with a vowel, but both awake and image have already been answers. I never saw evade, but that’s also a previous answer. Fortunately I saw adage before amaze. Specifically, I never did see amaze.
