After that I spent quite a bit of time to come up with only a single
fitting word, but BROIL failed. Finally I did salvage a Par.

Is the NYT site fucked up for anyone else? My stats were gone and when I login it says “We are collecting your stats. Check back later” then it still asks to create a free account or sign in and there is a black message on top of the puzzle saying “Error. Oops Something has gone wrong.”

I’m pissed if my entire history is gone, I had like 1600.

Ah, seems like there is a huge Amazon Web Services outage and that is affecting Wordle. Started this morning.

Wordle and connections are not loading now. My Wordle streak has gone to zero. Even though I finished the puzzle today and shared rn it looks like I’m on guess three. It won’t load and has me logged out. Other nyt games other than connections are fine.

Amazon outage I read in NYT is affecting Wordle among other apps.

I do NOT use any computer aids to solve these Wordles (except the two web-pages I’ve mentioned.) HOWEVER I have been testing ChatGPT (mainly to amuse myself) and presented it with a puzzle based on #1584; and posted the result to a thread about AI:

IDEAL → Well, that’s something. Mix in two WoFcons and an O to get
LOINS → Perhaps LIONS would have been better. I played around with adding an R for a bit (it turns out LIRPA is not a Wordle word, darn!) and it took
LIVOR → Which at least placed the I. Then I looked for words with T and saw
LITHO → which placed the O, and then I looked for some doubles but realized it had to be
LIMBO

It turns out my fourth guess was a 50-50, and I took the wrong word. With its second guess, Scoredle tries to double up one of the opener letters, and ends up placing the other one. After that, it’s an easy par for the algorithm.
