I think asking ten of the commonest letters and getting just 3 yellows
might be a good start, but it makes it unclear how to proceed.
After some effort I could only think of five possible words, three of which were
in the already-used list. These used-up words included Duvet which the dictionary
marks as “British.” The dictionary marks Detox as “Informal” so I asked
it last. But Duvet should have told me that NYTimes aren’t sticklers for
the “most proper” of words.

Did any of you lose your consecutive solving streaks - most likely due to the outages yesterday? I was surprised this morning to see my count at 1 when it should have been 454. Some reports have peoples’ counts being restored, but several hours later, my count remains at 1.
