SNIDE → Not bad, but I’ve got at least one more vowel in there, and three WoFcons outstanding. I’d like to try seven letters (counting those I already have) out of a five-letter word, which is rather difficult. Let’s see what I can do with
TARSE → I chose wisely. If I swap A & R, I can try a bunch of consonants to fit in ?RASE…which there were none, but it turns out a vowel goes well there
ERASE
AROSE was also possible. It’s a nice birdie, but it relied on some luck - my second guess was about 46th out of 138 possibles left after my start, but it made the actual birdie putt a 50-50. Scoredle uses a double letter guess to go for placement on its second guess, then its third guess leaves a tap-in for par.

ERASE → One-and-only-one E, and a placed S. That’s a good start. Three WoFcons left, but I can’t try them all with this layout, but I can get two with
BLEST → E in the middle - perhaps the only vowel? If so, I don’t need to check N, so let’s try a good double-consonant start (and check for a second S to boot) - I feel really close here, so maybe I need to start focusing on words over patterns
CHESS → Huh, got the second S. There’s another vowel, or so I would

LOESS was KOed by BLEST earlier, so that made the par putt a tap-in for me. Scoredle gets a birdie, converting a 1-in-3-or-5 (two of the words I would consider near- but possibly non-bogus) putt from the fringe to take the hole.
