SEGUE → Our fourth straight word with a G. In theory, I should be racking up the birdies on a run like this. Feel like I should try a T here, and then I saw
GHOST → which was no help save for the placements, which were a lot of help. So then I got worried about a potential double letter (along with some vowels), which let me to try
GASSY → and now I had a 50-50, but I think we already had the L-word

It was a very weird par, as I felt like I couldn’t employ my usual strategies but I made progress anyway. Scoredle gets an eagle on this one; four of its first five guesses double up the terminal S, so it wasn’t going to be too hard for the algorithm either way, once you spotted it the other letter from the opening.
