Six nonbogus words remained after two. Three of them had double L’s and three ended in Y. SULLY was the only one with both, so it made sense as the next guess. And whattaya know, I didn’t need a fourth guess!

SULKY is what I’d have gone for if I had thought about it a little longer, so here’s to going with your first instinct. Scoredle says I had 164 possibles after two, and my two first choices barely made the top 45 - but many of those 164 had the terminal S, indeed it only shows terminal-Y on six of the first 120. Scoredle’s words are very similar in letter makeup to mine, and its third guess is better, but not as lucky - and finishes with a tap-in par.

SULLY → That’s… interesting. Wasted an L. I can try two more vowels and one WoFcon with
OUNCE → And I hit on the “extra” letter. A stroke of luck? I really need to finish off the WoFcons here, so I thrown the C at the start and see what odd combination of letters Wordle accepts
CURAT → That one. And no help here. I is still out there, and then I’m flying blind for consonants - but there can’t be too many words left, can there?

Rough bogey, especially since Scoredle finds the answer (and sticks with it) from the possibles starting with my third guess. So if I had the power of the machine, I coulda hadda birdie. Scoredle pars the puzzle, largely on the power of elimination - its final guess is 1 out of 9, but (depending on how you feel about ancient Middle Eastern measurement units) it gets the only valid possible out of it.

Nice to snag that B in the BEGINning.
At two, I saw CUBIT, RABID, and HABIT. There were also TIBIA and ORBIT, which I didn’t see. But HABIT did a fine job of eliminating all the others, leaving only the double C.
A fun birdie today that I actually needed to think about.
